The New York Hall of Science originally started as a pavilion built for the 1964 World’s Fair. Over the years it has developed into a hands-on science and technology center. There are over 450 interactive exhibits among the many things to do there. No matter what age you are there is something new to learn and things to explore, especially in a place like this. Here are some tantalizing tibidits about the offerings the New York Hall of Science provides.
Rocket Park for the Astronaut in You
It is a 5,000-square-foot exhibition on the grounds of the New York Hall of Science. It features two newly refurbished icons of the U.S. space program—an original Atlas booster with a replica Mercury capsule and an original Titan II booster with a replica two-man Gemini capsule.
Science Demonstrations for the Mad Scientist
Learn about the exciting properties of chemistry, physics, biology, and more right with their slate of 15-minute demonstrations. The goal of these demonstrations is to engaging, explain and make science come to life. There is a weekday and weekend schedule that can be found on their website. The week of April 6-15th they plan on operating under the weekend/holiday schedule as school is out.
